Paul Friday has done an excellent job of promoting his babies, but there are plenty of breeding programs going on pursuing his same goals that have also introduced wonderful varieties.
It is my opinion and just that, opinion, that color is the first goal of Paul's breeding. But that is very important when selecting peaches to grow for market. Also can reap greater royalties if breeding trees that sell in numbers such as for orchard growers. How many hobbyists order 500 trees at a time. All his material colors very well.
