I forgot to mention that Mayhaw has done very well here for over 20 years. They are grafted onto Washington haw usually so there's no need for wet ground. Not really sure how they would do in the wet.

Speaking of Cratagus, anyone tried mayhaw? From what I've read, it tolerates wet soil, so it might be just the thing for a wet spot in my yard. However, I'm in zone 5, and all the info I find is about growing it in the south.
