yes, but inedible fruits. What's the point? They'd do better to amuse
themselves by grafting a branch from a known female blue persimmon onto a

Donna is correct. There is great genetic diversity in persimmon and planting the seed you have a far less chance than 50/50 of getting a good blue [hue] persimmon. Diospyros is not homozygous, but rather is heterozygous.
