Nova is recommended only for use on blossum blight in NY state. It is inaffective against later stages of brown rot according to Cornell. Captan is much less affective than Indar because it washes off (darn and just when you need protection most). Even with no rain it doesn't last as long and can't stop infections once they've started (protectant only, no kickback). Indar can rescue fruit even after the onset of brown rot. No comparison! Indar wins! Captan is cheaper though. Orbit is almost as affective as Indar according to research submitted by Indar in adds they used to run in a couple of the trades I get.
