I froze my Montmorency cherries by simply pitting
them, putting them in plastic containers with no
attention paid to removing air, and putting them in my
conventional freezer with no sugar, and they stayed
perfectly red, not to mention tasty. We ate most of
them before the frost-free freezer could do much
damage. They're really good blended with frozen
bananas.
