I made every effort to type "muscaRdine" instead of "muscadine", and I did it anyway. I can see lots of confusion over that one, lol.

Mycotrol O contains Beauveria bassiana, the white muscadine fungus. Just google mycotrol, and you will find several sources. Unlike milky spore, it is not specific to Jap beetles, and will kill a wide range of insects including many beneficials such as lady beetles. Two gallons runs about $400, but one quart will treat 1-2 acres, so $25 to $50 an acre.

Does anyone out there know if and where green or white muscardine fungus is available for sale for the control of Japanese beetles.  I here it has been approved and is more affective than milky spore.
