Have you read my 2 articles that appeared in Pomona (Summer 2002 and Winter
2008)?
I discuss there about Golden Spice in my z.4 orchard near Quebec City.
In summary, Golden Spice here is not very regular for production, but it is
a very healthy and hardy tree. I enjoy the fruit mainly for juice. For
fresh eating, some years it is very good and some years less so. My feeling
is that this variety varies a lot in quality depending on the terroir where
it is.
