I think there's a question of semantics here.  Meyer Lemon (and Meyer Lemon Improved) is self-fertile, but not self-pollinating.  You still need a bug to move the pollen from Mr. Meyer's parts to Mrs. Meyer's parts.  Or a Q-tip.....Or an artist brush.....Even a tickle in the right spot will help the Meyers's's have babies.  You just don't need the milkman or another citrus tree in the picture.
 
Steve Herje, Lone Rock, WI  USDA Zone 3-4, but only -27F or so thus far this winter.  Better than that -53F back in 1952.

Meyer Lemon does not require pollination.  Here is a link to a good downloadable booklet from LSU that might be a help.
