Does anybody have experience using an old-fashioned rotary corn sheller to husk freshly fallen black walnuts?
Yes, Lee. Done that often. Works quite well, certainly easier then placing them in the driveway and driving over them, etc. Smaller ones may need be run through a second time and large ones can come out cracked. But all in all it works quite well. They then need be washed and throw out the floaters.
