My (two year old) Meader Persimmon winterkilled, down to the ground, last Winter when the temperature was only a balmy -28.

In the meantime, "Meader" persimmon is the main one that is
already proven hardy to -30 F. A lot of it depends on the fall
weather, though. A fairly long, dry fall will induce greater hardiness
than a wet one, or one in which frost comes very early (like, while the
fruit isn't fully ripe).
