I heared somewhere, that SiO2 stones, sand aso have strange ability to draw
oxygen to its surfice. The efect is very slow, similar lke efect of water
surfice power, or powers which are used when minerals are get from liquid by
flotation proces. If this is truth, than reasults are very demanding for
desinfection and for faster geting nutrition for plants, when mixed sand with
organic materials.Old gadeners used mixture peat, sand and ground for
everything. There are also very small pieces of sand=special sand used for
cuttings. I hope there are more experienced people, they will say more.
