Jenny:

The finest grafting material I ever used in 25 yrs. (plus) in the nursery business was plain MASKING TAPE.  Cheap, deteriotes on its own in a few weeks, easy to apply (no mess, etc).

     Good luck.

Ed, So. Indiana....almost heaven....feeling fine for someone approaching antiquity.

I wonder if anyone has any grafting compound recipes that they could share?
Is just plain beeswax good enough?  I feel worried about taping the graft, I
don't want to leave the tape on there too long I'm afraid it would damage
the bark. Is there some kind of tape that works especially well for
grafting? Thanks.
