- Subject: [NAFEX] A problem with critter solutions
- Date: Sun, 11 Feb 2007 08:16:07 -0600
I have beautiful plum trees. The demand for plum jam is high. Plum Curcullio is a problem and I refuse to spray.
In the wild, when an infected plum falls on the ground, a weasel or a skunk or some other critter eats it, Curcullio and all. It is a little late now but I should have planted my plum trees in an unfenced area.
Until I find a, at least semi convenient, way to keep my plums from becoming wormy, I pick our supply of plums from the wild and each year, it seems, I dig out one more plum tree at home.
