Hi Richard Ossolinski and friends;

First, thanks you for the Francis story Richard.

I hope the rest of you don't feel left out.

Here in southeastern Massachusetts, we don't have any Fentons.
We have a few orchards, and a couple of decent ones in the central part of the state.
But, around here it is all suburbia and industry.
That is why I started my small commercial orchard in Maine; it is financially impossible to start one here.
A 1/3 Acre house lot is $125K or more. So, when people tell you about all the fruit trees they (and I) have on our teeny little Mass house lots, it is a very powerful thing indeed. This desire we have to grow things and improve things is not stifled by size. Maybe a little, but we don't focus on that. We focus on 'what's next'; and that's what keeps this fun. Trying new things, winning, losing, helping our friends.... this is it. Not how many bushels of apples, but the spiritual satisfaction one gets from a large, healthy trial variety Blackberry plant, weighted down with a huge crop. It is a strange form of humble pride we feel, that cannot be described.
Anyways Richard, I hope you turn out to take Francis' place, or maybe I will try..... Big shoes to fill !!!

To Ginda and Rob Hamilton and Lon R.

Thanks for the warning about Ty Ty.
Too bad.
I will not do a mass-order from them, based on what I know now.
Is there any way for them to dig themselves out of that awful hole?
Or, are we (and Dave's Watchdog) such a small group they can ignore the issue?
I may order a couple of cheap items as a test, and post the results with photos.

My dog needs to pee really bad.
Seeya later
Richard
