Had a nizza plum tree; Miller's big blue.
Loaded with plums in July. Already bought my
canning jars...
Usually, both my cats patrol the gardens all day,
every day.
We go on a 2 day trip, cats locked in the house.
HUGE mistake.
Come home, every single plum is 'half eaten' with a
ton of squirrel bites all over them.
Cats keep squirrels out of my garden of 4 apples, 1
plum, 1 peach, 2 pears, and veggies.
Really, they're my wife's cats.
I hate cats, but these two earn their keep.
PS I bought a net.
PPS Squirrels are very hard to peel.
I've eaten a couple. Don't bother. Lean, tough, flat...
Toss
them in the hog pen.
