Titan's description says it was an open pollinated seedling of a late flowering mutant of Nonpareil almond. It was actually selected for rootstock production. Plant it next to Nemaguard peach and many of the seedlings will be F1 Hybrid Almond-Peach seedlings for use as almond rootstocks in certain kinds of problem areas.
Since it was bred in central California (Fresno), it probably isn't very hardy, since most commercial almonds in California are seriously hurt at 0 F.

Instead of pulling your Hall's Hardy "almond" (really a peach-almond hybrid) it could be used as a rootstock for peach, among other things.

Does anyone have any experience with Titan almond? I have tried to grow

both times the trees died. Am I too far North? Any secrets to growing
this cultivar?

By the way, my Halls Hardy almond is doing great. The only problem: I
should have read the NAFEX posts that warned of bitter taste. I will
probably cut down the tree and plant something more edible next year.
