Chris,

Did you use chip budding or the "T" bud. Normally you would use chip budding this early in the season. I was just wondering. I haven't been successful with chip budding but I do a lot of "T" budding in late July and August each year.

Thanks,

I know about the pedicel coming off, but I've seen cases where this is happened and the bud wouldn't grow.   But those were cases where I was starting growth in the spring after budding in the fall.  In this case, I want to start the buds growing right away.  Also, I used budding tape and then parafilm over the whole graft.  And while I can remove the parafilm to check, I wanted a range of time where it was likely for the buds to have taken.

Thanks.
