Why would it not be possible to till under the remaining strawberry
junebearer plants after they have produced, and plant new plants then--in mid to
late June?
It would be possible, with a couple of caveots - where will you get
your 'new' plants? if you don't have dormant plants, then you are
going to be transplanting actively growing ones, which is problematic -
also, time will be short to grow and root runners starting this late
(assuming matted row culture) - strawberries struggle a bit with midwestern
weather in july/early august -
if you have the time and dedication, much is possible - there will
not be much room for error -
