Hello,
I thought dormant oil was refined mineral oil.
Mineral oil is petroleum based, but it is used in baby oil, as a laxtive, in cold creams, ointments and other pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Pretty inert, safe stuff.
It will not harm your trees. You can even put some in your rain barrel to prevent mosquitos.
Later,
Tom

I am looking for a recipe for dormant oil that is not petroleum based.
Any suggestions?
