I think letters from Americans would
remind them that this has worldwide consequences, and people in other nations
are aware of the recommendations.

Subject: [NAFEX] Fwd: National
fruit Collections
The following is something NAFEX should know about - the possible loss
of the fruit collections at Brogdale in England, which are the largest in
the world. I had to remove the attachments, but they can be viewed at the
website listed in the letter. Not sure if anyone there will listen to
Americans, but it couldn't hurt to send letters anyway.

the last few weeks, DEFRA has published two reports on the future of the
National Fruit Collection at Brogdale. Their recommendations include the
gradual replacement of the living tree collection by deep frozen material.
