Leave your tree in the garage if you have a window so that it can be getting some light. If not, you might try bringing it indoors and giving it some light; then leave it indoors until you are sure all danger of frost is past and the nights are at least in the 40s. Then move it outdoors to a shady spot to acclimate for a couple of weeks before you put it in its regular place. At this point you may not have much choice as to what you do for pollination. However, your NectaZee nectarine may be self-fertile. When it blooms, get a clean paintbrush and pollinate it. What do you have to lose?
