Sunset zones (besides being available on line) are also found in the Sunset National Garden Book, published in 1997.  You can find a used copy for under $10 including s&h at various on-line book sellers. For my money this is one of the best investments around.  The encyclopedia portion lists climate zones, cultural needs, design uses, etc., for more than 6,000 plants grown in North America.  It’s user friendly and helpful for both the amateur and the professional horticulturalist.
