I overstated the amount of sulfur I use: The 1/2 teaspoon I mentioned would
be
for a 24 inch pot if the soil has become really alkaline. I'd start with
1/8 tsp for a 12 incher. Use less if the foliage is just light colored.
I'm
sure it's easy to overdo---like anything else. The way I do it is after the
initial application to sprinkle a little over the soil surface in the
spring. I use a bit more in pots that show real chlorosis.
