Reemay has been used successfully over
dwarf/miniature stonefruit trees with good success. You do have to time so the
pollinators can get in, of course. Reemay’s designed to not damage
leaves. Stephen Sadler, Ph.D. USDA 9, AHS heat zone 8, From:
nafex-bounces@lists.ibiblio.org [mailto:nafex-bounces@lists.ibiblio.org] On Behalf Of Deb Schneider The
Japanese beetles are bad this year and are really chewing up the leaves on some
young cherry trees. I was considering knocking them off and then covering
the trees with Reemay (floating row cover) and putting a band around the trunks
to keep it closed. These are one and two year old trees. Is this a
good idea? I was a little concerned that the Reemay would damage the
leaves from friction... deb |
