What color are the Ya Li pears? How do they taste? Is the skin tough? When
is harvest time?

Hello all:

The most ornamental fruit tree I have is the Chinese pear, Ya Li. It
has flaming fall colors, much like the best sugar and/or red maples.
Leaves are large, triangular and glossy. Unlike many pears, it shows
fall color fairly early and the colors are unmuddied by any greens or
bronze tones.
