Lon,

The article mentions breeding work that Larry McGraw has done.  Have you seen any of his new varieties?  It says he works with both apples and native plums.  One of the plums is fuzzy and orange, like an apricot.  That sounds interesting.

A local magazine, Columbia Ruralite, just came out with a very nice article on Larry McGraw, the founder of the Home Orchard Society. I have a .pdf copy of the article, complete with photos, and can forward it to anyone who wants to read it.
