Thank you - very enlightening - I now know why I am
so confused by plum pollination...
The lady I spoke to at Raintree about Coe's wasn't at
all sure if 100' was too far or not.
I found/decided on a Wickson, which is advertised as
self-fertile. We'll have to wait and see how things
go with the others - my orchard is only 3 years old.
There are several commercial orchards near me (I can
think of two within perhaps a mile, one peaches the
other I believe pears) so I'm hoping their bees will
happen by - don't bees have a 2-mile range?
