Lon, this sounds interesting, I did net searchs on 'ag specialties' and 'mist fan' and such and did not find what you are referring to, any chance you can remember a brand name for such a product?

There used to be place in California, Ag Specialties, that sold a type of
mister that used a thing like a fan to break the water into mist. It was
very wa ter efficient and didn't need a water line - you could run it most
of the day on a gallon jug of water hooked up to it. If that device is
still around, it would make a great mister without having to do a lot of
plumbing.
