As an apple lover was speaking with a friend and she wanted to know about an apple that when cooked turns PINK!. She said it is a creamy green skinned with Pink coloration down the sides. This particular apple grew in Colonel Joe Moore's( of the Greenbriar School fame)back yard in Louisberg, West Virginia.
Anyone have a clue what it could be?
If you don't get an ID from list members here, you might contact Tom Brown (see info below), Lee Calhoun, or Joyce Neighbors - they all have been concentrating on finding, identifying, and preserving old regional (especially Southern) apple varieties.
