You can also just divide a clump and plant it around, making sure that each piece has some roots and crown. This will get going a little faster than root cuttings. If you leave some primocane, you might get to taste the fruit the next year.

This is a fine time of year to plant raspberry roots or divisions.

When is the right time to root the cuttings of these plants? Which cane is used? first year or second year?
