Hi, Del. We're still planning on going up to the cabin this coming weekend
and I'll call you as soon as I know what's afoot. I'd like very much to see
your operation.

Do you have any Beta grapes? I picked up a plant at an end-of-season sale
the other day and thought you might like to give that cultivar a try. I
don't know if your Valiants were bothered by any foliar diseases this past
summer, but they are prone to them, and Beta isn't. The berries of Beta are
smaller and more wild grape-like than those of Valiant, but they make truly
superb jelly.--Sam
