Don,
Does the Geneva have green or purple leaves? This apple has ordinary green
leaves, that is why it is so surprising when you bite into it.
The taste could not be described as acidic. The taste is mildly astringent
and dry and watery at the same time.
Please note that Wakefield is only a temporary name assigned based on
location.

Victoria Caron makes an interesting remark that it could be a missed graft,
with the rootstock being a seedling.
