- Subject: [nafex] Gooseberries - Rabbits
- Date: Fri, 5 Oct 2001 09:06:48 -0400 (EDT)
Hi,
Is it my imagination or do rabbits eat the leaves of gooseberries, but
leave jostaberry, red/black currants alone?
Maybe that is why the gooseberry is thorned.
I have noted that leaves seem to disappear from gooseberry in the spring.
Since I put a pig wire (3"x2") fence around my gooseberry the problem
seemed to be solved.
I just find it odd that they eat one ribe but ignore another.
Thanks,
Tom
