Yes, we used to carry them at Hidden Springs. They were used by the native
Americans fresh and dried in pemmican. Have the same tart flavor of other
elaeagnaceae. Some of the plains nurseries carry them - maybe Lawyer
Nursery or Bailey. Get a feww as they are male and female plants separate.
We tried them as nurse plants with tree crops, but they don't like shade.
Supposed to make a wonderful ketchup. We used Autumn olives same way and
it is a fine ketchup. Hector Black. zone 6, middle TN
