My Reliance ripens its peaches in late July here on the zone 6/7
border, although we didn't get many this year, in our case because of
spring damage. Agree with Ed that you may have something else there.
In my climate, I am always looking for earlier peaches, because of
problems with brown rot, peach scab, and bacterial spot, and sometimes
all of the above. I think the later peaches, like late apples, are
often of higher quality, but I can't grow them. The longer they hang on
the tree, the more vulnerable they become. Rgds, Don Yellman, Great
