Thanks everyone.

I'd love to plant more trees!! Alas, I barely have room for the one
tree (which is a baby, so very small). I haven't had much trouble with
japanese beetles on the raspberries - and saw none before the fruit
formed, and have had no problem bugs on the currants, blueberries,
strawberries, peas and tomatoes. (Nor the meyer lemon, nor the
flowers) Does surround discourage bunnies? Rodents (bunnies,
squirrels, chipmunks, and deer) are my major pest. Heat stress is not a
problem when you live in Massachusetts and have trouble providing more
than 8-10 hours of full sun in the best spots. So I reckon a 5 pound
bag of Surround would be good for 5-10 years. (Maybe less if the grafts
on my crabs take off. But the crab parts of the crab apples are
terrifically healthy, and I don't see any point in spraying them. Now
maybe my neighbor's crab, which is covered with scab, could use some
well-timed fungicide. . .)

If I can find someone to share with, I'll buy from Fedco, but otherwise,
GardensAlive will make a few bucks off of me.
