Hi folks, this year in my area of SC is the most prolific
of any year, I have ever seen.
One group of vines is bearing fruit (drupe?) which is
as big as some of those I've seen on commercial cultivars.
Some of them are over an inch long.
Now what do I do to save these vines? I know better than to
disturb them in the growing season, but I don't want to
miss collecting a few of these vines. I'm hoping that it
isn't a location or microclimate thing.
I tried to start some commercial varieties a few years back
in a different location but they all got the virus that
cause all the leaves to bunch up.
Every year we are bothered by the wild vines and few dinky
berries except this year and there are thousands and thousands.
