Hi folks,
I have a real poser for all the apple aficionados / word sleuths in the
NAFEX community. I recently received a note from a lady in Löddeköpinge,
Sweden. (That's okay...I couldn't pronounce it either!). She wrote saying
she had recently received two apple trees from a friend and was trying to
find information about them. One of the apples was a Bramley for which she
found information on our web site. The other was labeled "Himmel Stally".
She said she was not certain of the spelling as the label was very difficult
to read but this was what she was able to discern from the tag.

Is anyone out there familiar with "Himmel Stally"? I have checked all my
available references and conducted Internet searches, but have simply hit
the wall on this one. Could this be an apple of foreign origin or just a
case of misreading an obscure or mislabeled tag? I and the nice lady from
Sweden would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.
Ron
