Both Alla and I believe that it's not a 'table fruit' - not too edible as a
berry. Ornamental, yes, but there are better choices.
Another concern is climate - this plant is grown mainly in the Southern
part of the former Soviet Union - it may be just too cold for it around
Boston.
But, you also need to keep in mind that we were fruit consumers, not
growers - never had any land, garden, etc.
