Thanks Ed and Derry but...
the chlorosis is on new 1-2' growth and is most pronounced on the tips
of the whips. Some of the leaves show necrosis it's so severe.
I know I'll probably have to acidify the soil but what I wanted to know
is this; is sensitivity to alkaline soils a function of rootstock type
or grafted variety or both?
I guess the concern for me is avoiding trying to acidify the soil for a
full grown standard tree if possible.
Lots of wildfires out here, very hazy, hot and dry in Utah.
