Now that Donna brought it up, I remember the yellowing occurred happened
to two bushes of rabbiteyes of mine a couple of years ago. I suspected
that pH wasn't the problem after no response from Miracid and sulfur. It
is rare to find basic soil in the pine region here anyway. I was going
to try the suggested iron sulfate if the chlorosis recurred this year
but I had applied mycorrhizal w/o anything else this Spring. No
problemas. I suggested in a post that pH wasn't the total solution but
it got lost/bounced????. As have several of my posts.
We can't learn anything if we know it all! I believe there is a cause
which we may someday discover if we keep our minds open. Magnesium? I
was around when the experts were saying epsom salts were only for dosing
old folks on the laxative habit, drenching and downing horses and
couldn't possibly help tomatoes and roses. Donna, it could be that the
sulfate in epsom salts acts like the iron sulfate which was reported to
be successful by another member. Doc Lisenby SC Zone ???
