Lon:

I have been unable to find any information concerning the propagation of
pawpaw via layering. Therefore, I submitted a grant proposal this spring to
pursue the development of mound layering as a clonal propagation method for
pawpaw. I have also started a small mound layering experiment in the field
this spring. If we can successfully develop this propagation technique with
pawpaw, we could use it to propagate clonal rootstock and KSU advanced
selections. I hope to find out if the proposal will be funded sometime in
July or August.
