Bullseye is caused by pseudomonas in cool wet spring weather. Control is
difficult.
I use copper spray. I can't find much about it in my books. They mostly say
there is
nothing you can do about it but I heard somewhere that copper is the best
control. I
don't remember where I read that.
I find that a particular cultivar is much more likely to get it then another.
NY 429
and Rambo are very apt to get it. Empire and Lobo are likely candidates.
Macoun is
touched by it alond with Mutsu.
Asian pears don't seem to get it at all. Plums are not like to get it. Most
pears
are free of it.
