So true Karen. We bought a 2 year old Running Quarterhorse off the track in OK. He sure did know how to pony! Run straight? You bet. Even with a bittless bridle he LOVED contact. The more the faster
he wanted to gogogo.

We are natural horse trainers (Lyons, Anderson, Cox, McNabb) and it's taken a little over a year to get him to understand that it's OK not to run all the time. However he would make a great MSAR
partner given the time.

...track horses more often than not require re-training to become reliable mounts for other purposes.
