I seldom post on this site but I do read the posts. I agree that this is a site for MSAR, not horse rescue. You have posted two do The second is a lost horse, which those in the area know to keep an eye out for.

I am not impressed with your use of the phrases, "now do you guys get the point,' "get the picture," "you fail to read." I heard what you said. I believe that your efforts for emaciated horse rescue would find support in other sites that have the resources and structure to do so.

Finally, do not underestimate the generosity of the time, talent, and treasure of those who post here for the benefit of animals in need.

Just one question Chris, Mark.... just how long do you think that gelding would last with a saddle on it in the wilderness?  Now, do you guys get the point?  Get the picture?

As far as that emaciated horse, perhaps some of us IN MSAR needing another horse might consider adopting an animal like that? I have no vacancy here.  Do you understand HOW LONG it would take to get even a younger animal in peak condition from that????  Horses like that in the wrong hands do not stand a chance.  Get the picture???

So now you know the rest of the story.

Wrong thread... I dont think so.

We value our horses here.  When an incident happens and a horse gets loose fully tacked... just how valuable is it?  When its found in the condition like that chestnut... need I say more.

This  black Paso Fino horse was spooked... by a river....just what kind of condition would you expect to find that animal after so many days as per its description?

Just thought to ask because some of you appear that you do not know what to look for when it does come to a search and rescue or recovery when you get the facts put in front of you.  You fail to read.

Sadly,  and in this heat, the owner might only be able to recover its saddle. Lets hope for the owners sake, the horse is recovered.  Sales barns and tack shop owners might take heed and note that saddle in the picture before taking in any consignments.
