Heads up, all you MSAR folks (including anyone wanting to get into MSAR) in
Georgia USA. Don't miss this opportunity. It is not a SAR (not mounted SAR)
conference, but if you want to do MSAR in Georgia then you should attend this
very affordable conference.

Back by popular demand!
The Friends of GA DNR-SAR board is hosting the third Annual Search and Rescue
Conference on Jan.29,30,31 2010 near Covington Georgia. Registration
materials will be available and widely circulated near October 1 this year.
The focus of this event will be to assist individuals in achieving higher
levels of SAR certification and provide important insight into SAR resources
available right now in Georgia. Vendors will also be present.
There will be four education tracks.
1. Introduction to SAR
2. Introduction to SAR technician
3. SAR management
4. Georgia SAR resources
The setting will be the FFA (Future Farmers of America) center near
Covington. Lodging facilities have been upgraded with the construction of two
new dorms.
The all inclusive rate of $160 includes room, breaks, meals, Saturday night
steak dinner and conference materials. For attendees arriving Thursday
evening check-in is available for an additional $17 fee. For attendees
wishing to challenge the NASAR SAR Tech II & III test an additional fee will
be required payable to NASAR on site.
Please make plans to attend this important opportunity to network with other
Search and Rescue professionals from around the state and share in a national
