The breakaway vest in contrasting color is only required for standing about on a federally funded highway

directing traffic, running a machine, etc.  Check with your local game protector for the proper colors and visible area to wear in the woods.

They are often different.  Here in PA hunter orange, 100 square inches or more, is still required in the woods, slime green only on the road where there is a lot of orange and white stuff in place so you will stand out (as a target maybe?).  Note that cops are exempt when on patrol and firefighters and rescue people are exempt when the danger of fire is present because the vests burn.  The prices from Iowa are pretty good and comparable with most suppliers.  In PA Mifflin Valley is the most popular with fire police.
