SE PA SAR has sent about 3/4 of its members to TLAER training over the last
2 years and hopes to have a member accepted as an assistant next time at New
Bolton. PA SART paid for most of the costs.
There are differences in the way these rescues are performed versus human
rescues. Part of this is due to the size, weight, and structural
differences between humans and horses, but a lot is also due to the
differences in construction of vehicles and the situations animals get into
that people usually don't.
