We don't cut down trees except we need to build a bridge or make a raft to ferry our horses across a river. Otherwise we just clear trails. LOL,  Yesterday I did get a good reference to a forestry supply out fit that has just what I am looking for.

First, who lets you cut down trees?  We use a folding saw, up to 18 inch blade with rough cross cut teeth, haven’t counted but probably less than 10 to the inch.

There are also folding bow saws listed in most camping catalogs.
