Maybe, except that the scenario as given involves navigating
via GPS and solving SAR-oriented riddles, with search in the
middle. In my experience, this kind of scenario can easily
turn into endless undirected search, no development of skill,
and frustrated trainees.
Much depends on the level of training of those participating. Many in MSAR use GPS and do search training routinely. The only challenge for a team with these basic skills should be solving the riddles. Take along the newer recruits and mentor them while they gain experience with the basic tools and skills. :)
